Bike Tour FAQs

● You must cancel at least 48 hours before the published start time to get a full refund or ask to move your booking to a later date.

●If the booking is canceled less than 48 hours before the published start time, no refund will be issued, and you are no longer allowed to reschedule unless you have availed of our Flexible Rebooking option.

To cancel a booking, you may send an email to tours@zugo.bike.

Our Flexible Rebooking option gives you added flexibility on your booking. For an additional $10 per person per tour, you'll have up to 2 hours from your tour's start time to change your booking. The Flexible Rebooking add-on you purchased allows you a single instance of rescheduling within 48 hours before the tour. Flexible Rebooking is priced and applied to each guest on each tour.

Equipment Damage Protection gives you full coverage on any accidental damage to the bike and any other equipment provided to you during the tour. As long as you handle the bike with reasonable care (for example: you don't perform stunts or acrobatics with the bike, or leave it parked in the middle of the road to be hit by a passing car), you can rest easy that any damage to the bike or our equipment is covered by the add-on insurance.

We may cancel tours due to extreme weather conditions or unforeseen events. Most of our tours also require at least three participants to run.

We will do our best to determine any cancellations as soon as possible and immediately inform customers via email of any changes to the event.

Should any of our tours be canceled for these reasons, we will offer you a full refund, an option to reschedule on a different date or pay for the remaining slots needed to reach the minimum number of participants.

Please make sure that you:

a. Have signed the tour waiver and release form for you and everyone in your party. You can find the link to the tour waiver here.

b. Are dressed appropriately for the weather.

c. Wear comfortable closed-toe footwear. No flip-flops, please.

It is important to arrive at least 15 minutes before the published start time. Your guide will use the 15 minutes to do a briefing on the tour, teach you how to operate the e-bike, and let you do a test ride to ensure you can ride the e-bike safely. Guests who arrive late or have trouble handling the e-bike will not be allowed to join the tour.

No. You don't need a license to ride an e-bike in Austin.

Yes, you don't typically need any prior experience. If you know how to ride a regular bike, transitioning to our e-bikes should be pretty easy. Before the tour, your guide will instruct you on operating our bikes and put you on a test ride to assess your capability. If you have trouble using our e-bike in some unlikely event, your guide will advise you not to proceed with the tour.

Our e-bikes can carry up to 325 lbs, including the rider's weight.

We designed our tours to be enjoyed by guests 16 years or older. We indicate the age requirement for each tour on our website. Minors at least 16 years of age are allowed to ride, provided they are accompanied and have express written consent from a parent or guardian, and they are tall enough to ride the bike safely - 4'8" for the Rhino Step-Thru and 5'1" for the Rhino Step-Over model.

ZuGo E-Bike Tours always start and end in our showroom at 300 S. Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78704. You'll have access to a waiting lounge and vehicle parking.

Yes. Please inform your guide about any dietary preferences or restrictions so we can customize the tour to accommodate your requirements.

The minimum number of guests on each tour is 3, and the maximum is 12. If you wish to tour alone or if your group is more than 12 people, don't worry. Reach out to us, and we'll arrange a private tour for you and your group.

Each e-bike is sanitized and disinfected before and after each tour. We ensure special care and attention to high-touch areas like the handlebars. Helmets are also sanitized and disinfected before use, and you are more than welcome to bring your own. Please observe social distancing throughout the tour. We advise everyone to wear facemasks when visiting areas where people gather.
